Carol and Michael Schwarz are self taught
goldsmiths who have created their utopian
lifestyle living off the land, and in harmony
with nature on Maui’s north shore. They have
been working together as jewelry designers /
goldsmiths for over 30 years. Based out of
their off the grid studio, the two work
simultaneously on many of their jewelry
pieces, each adding their expertise. Michael is
an accomplished master goldsmith. He is
licensed as such from his birth place of
Vienna, Austria, where he was first introduced
to metal smithing by a mentor. Carol grew up
designing, crafting, creating, and soaking in a
deep appreciation for Art Nouveau and
mission style craftsmanship and design.
Both artists honed their skills as goldsmiths and designers while working under Maui jewelers
David Sacco, Kathleen Bunt, and Brad Webber, as well as creating and selling their own jewelry collections
through multiple Hawaii based locations over the last 36 years. Their focus as a “jewelry couple” is to
maintain a peaceful, self sustaining harmony in their work, creative endeavors, and off grid lifestyle. They
specialize in unique, one of a kind, heirloom quality pieces, fabricated in solid 18k Gold and Sterling Silver,
and featuring colored gemstones. With their deep connection to Maui’s natural environment and a
sustainable lifestyle, their work is imbued with a notable sense of Mana.
